So, one day I found an MP3 of Kings of Convenience on my friends PC. I tried to play it. Then, I played that songs again and again. With that songs, titled The Cayman Islands, I found Joy, Peace, oh any words that could describe you being in a super-comfort zone.
This is the lyrics :
Through the alleyways to cool off in the shadows
Then into the street following the water
There’s a bearded man paddling in his canoe
Looks as if he has come all the way from the Cayman Islands
These canals, it seems, they all go in circles
Places look the same, and we’re the only difference
The wind is in your hair, it’s covering my view
I’m holding on to you, on a bike we’ve hired until tomorrow
If only they could see, if only they had been here
They would understand, how someone could have chosen
To go the length I’ve gone, to spend just one day riding
Holding on to you, I never thought it would be this clear
Living life for me like a water down the river. Life may be hard like rocks, but if we be the water, the rocks that block us up would slowly disappear.
Life for me was only vanity. Surreal. My old man once said that,
We ought to know what we need. Not what we want. What we want was imaginary. Would block out your mind. Pursue what you need son, not what you want.
Well, in this songs I found the picture. I could picture what I need. Simply. Life simply. Since this songs began changing myself. There I serve to you my cayman islands.
